GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2022 is scheduled to be conducted on 5th, 6th, 12th, and 13th February 2022 and the GATE 2022 registration will be held from 30th August to 24th September. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur will conduct the exam this year.

GATE 2022: The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 is scheduled to be held on February 5, 6, 12, and 13, 2022, and the registration for GATE 2022 will take place between August 30 and September 24.

However, this year two new papers are also to be added to the GATE 2022 exam – Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NM).

Besides this, “GATE is fast gaining a brand value and foreign universities are also using the score for their admission”, said Prof Tewari.

The admit card for GATE 2022 will be available for download on January 3 and the result for GATE 2022 will be declared on March 17. IIT Kharagpur also said that the dates are provisional and the exams may be postponed for “situations beyond control” amid COVID-19.

The GATE exam is for admission to master's programs and for recruitment to some public sector companies.

GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Kharagpur, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Chennai, and Roorkee on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE of Education Ministry’s Higher Education Department.
