Age Limits
For Diploma Trainees in PGCIL, The upper age limit for General Category candidate is 27 years as on 12 July 2021.
This upper age limit is relaxable for OBC (NCL) Category candidates by 03 years and for SC / ST Candidates by 05 years (where vacancies available for them)
Selection Process for PGCIL Recruitment 2021 of Diploma / Junior Engineer
Selection of Diploma Engineers for Diploma Trainee / Junior Engineer Posts in PGCIL will be through Written Test / Computer Based Test Only Process of Which is As Below
- A Two hours Written / Objective / Computer Based Test will be conducted by the PGCIL.
- Part – I of this paper will consist of questions for Engineering Subject / Professional Knowledge (Total 120 Questions)
- Part – II of the Paper will consist of questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, ability to determine data sufficiency, interpretation of graphs/charts/tables, numerical ability etc. (Total of 50 Questions)
- All the questions will carry equal marks and there will be a negative marking of 1/4 for the wrong answer.
- The candidate will have to secure a minimum of 40% marks in the written exam (both papers combined) and a minimum of 30% marks in a paper -I & a minimum of 25% marks in Paper-II.
- The medical exam will be conducted before the final appointment of candidates.
Application Fees
Candidates for the posts of Diploma Trainee in PGCIL will have to pay Rs. 300/- for applying online. However, SC / ST / PWD / Ex-SM / DEx-SM / Departmental candidates of PGCIL are not required to pay the Application Fee.
Pay Scale for PGCIL Recruitment 2021
During Training, The Diploma Trainees in PGCIL will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 27,500/-.
After successfully completing of training, the candidates will be recruited as Junior Engineer in PGCIL on the pay scale of ₹ 25000/- in the pay scale of Rs.25000- 117500/-(IDA)
