Definition of END ANCHORAGE

END ANCHORAGE OF BARS in Civil Engineering is the practice in detailing of steel to continue the reinforcement (both tension and compression steel) beyond the point where it is theoretically required for a distance equal to the effective depth of the beam or 12 times the diameter of the bar. This length is called end anchorage. (Ld)

(Refer SP 24 and IS 456: c1ause 25.2.3.1)

The conditional should be satisfied is 

La = d or 12⌀ , whichever is greater

The value of La will be part of total anchorage length Ld  

you clearly differentiate between La and Ld and make sure for Anchorage length
